About Celina Reyes

Celina A. Reyes serves as an At-Large City Councilor for the City of Lawrence, Massachusetts, representing the entire city with a focus on inclusive governance and community-centered leadership. First elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, she is an active participant in council meetings and currently serves on the Public Safety Committee, where she collaborates on initiatives related to police, fire services, and public well-being. Celina is a strong advocate for transparency in municipal government, responsible budgeting, and policies that support working families earning endorsements from organizations like SEIU Local 509. Deeply connected to the community, she is known for her responsiveness to constituent concerns and her commitment to building a safer, stronger Lawrence for all residents.

PUBLIC SAFETY

I collaborated with neighborhood associations, Lawrence Police Department, and the Mayor'soffice. I advocated for hiring additional bilingual officers.

PUBLIC EDUCATION

I supported investing in the Oliver School project and the state Fair Share Amendment.

NEIGHBORHOOD REJUVENATION THROUGHPARK RENOVATION

I will continue to advocate for park renovations across the city that include inclusive games for children with special needs.

IMPROVING STREET SIGNAGE & TRAFFIC CONGESTION

I will push for more street and sidewalk repairs, along with reinstating street signage.

RENT STABILIZATION

I will continue to engage in conversations to support rent stabilization and increased housing aid for families in need.

CHILDCARE VOUCHERS

I will persist in advocating for additional day care vouchers to support working families
